Climax
The climax or turning point of the story 'The Messenger' is when Matty, Kira, and Leader are about to give up when Forest keeps attacking them. The first half of the return trip to Village is mostly the climax. The parts where Kira and Matty are getting hurt by the Forest are also the climax of the story. When everyone is on the edge of death and are about to give up, Leader tells Kira to tell Matty something. This is when Matty uses his powers to fix everything. The rest of that event is the solution or resolution of the story. That is also when Matty dies from physical exertion, caused by using his powers. Right when Matty starts to use his powers to save everyone, the story turns. It goes from Forest attacking, to Forest healing. People in Village are healed also in this process. This is the climax in 'The Messenger'.
